Make a meaningful impact by providing speech-language services to students in a supportive school environment near Gary, IN. Two openings are available for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join dedicated school teams for the 2026/2027 year. Certified SLPs (CCC preferred) are needed; SLPA applications are not being considered at this time.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Indiana
• School-based or pediatric experience is highly valued
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
• Passion for supporting diverse student populations

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language needs
• Provide direct and indirect SLP services
• Serve a manageable caseload (as described below) with opportunities for supportive assistance from Speech-Language Aides (SLA)
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to maximize student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings

Opportunities include:

1. Portage Twp. Schools: Service Fegley Intermediate and Crisman Elementary with approximately 100 students. Discussion regarding SLA support is open.
2. Porter Twp. Schools: Select between a developmental preschool-1st grade caseload at Porter Lakes Elementary (~70–80 students), or a split-site assignment covering Porter Lakes (grades 2-3), Boone Grove Elementary (grades 4-5), and Boone Grove Middle (grades 6-8) with about 75 students. Travel between sites is minimal and support staff may be available based on licensure.
