Dealer PokerMechanically deals Poker in a proficient mannerDepartment: PokerReports To: Supervisor PokerFLSA Designation: Non-exemptLicense Type: GamingTarget Pay: $16.80Essential Job Functions:Performs the act of mechanically dealing a Poker game in a proficient manner, according to current company policies and procedures and applicable gaming regulationsResponsible for handling guest transactions and notifying the Manager on Duty of any irregularities or of any disputes or arguments that may arise during the game among players or players and the dealerManages gaming chips, collects rake, and distributes winning pots according to house rules in an accurate mannerWorks as Chip Runner and assists with seating players on open positions on Poker tablesSupports and maintains the guest service standards at all times while promoting outstanding guest relations and enforcing rules of the gamePerforms duties required in Poker tournamentsAssists with cleanliness of the casino property front and heart of housePerforms all other duties as assignedQualifications:Equivalent of a high school diploma with knowledge of game and dealing techniques 1-2 years' supervisory experience is preferredMust be 21 years of age or olderKnowledge of poker procedures and rulesMust have strong leadership skills with a clear focus on guest service and Team Member relations as a priorityAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memosAbility to write simple correspondenceAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to staff or customers and other employees of the organizationAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructionsAbility to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situationsMust possess excellent customer relations and communication skillsAbility to communicate with team members and guestsAbility to successfully fulfill the pre-employment processAbility to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidaysAbility to obtain and maintain all necessary licensingWorking Conditions:Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use of hand to finger dexterity, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms; stand and/or walk for prolonged period of timeMust occasionally lift up to 25 poundsFrequently required to stoop, crouch or kneelAbility to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanorPossible exposure to high noise level for extended period of timeEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
