PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adult Average Daily Volume: Up to 10 patients/day Phone Consults: Yes Case Mix: Cardiac Surgery ICU/Step-Down FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Specialty Backup Available: Critical Care Physicians, Supervising Physician PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 6 weeks REQUIRED PROCEDURES Central line insertion Arterial line insertion Chest tube placement CT removal Wound vac changes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: AANP (NP Certification) Licenses: Active NY License Certifications: ACLS Experience: Minimum 1 year ICU experience required; cardiac critical care preferred; no new graduates Other Qualifications: EPIC experience Duties & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to cardiac surgery ICU and step-down patients Perform invasive procedures including central line, arterial line, chest tube placement Manage chest tube removal and wound vac changes Conduct phone consultations for inpatient follow-up Collaborate with supervising physician and critical care team
