CNC Swiss Machinist

Join our team as a CNC Swiss Machinist where you will be responsible for setting up and operating advanced machinery to produce high-quality medical parts. You will handle the full process from operation and setups to tooling changes, program editing, loading, and troubleshooting. Part of your role will also involve inspecting parts using various measuring tools and ensuring all manufacturing processes and procedures are adhered to.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss and L20 machines.
• Manage medium to high production runs for medical parts.
• Inspect parts using microscopes, micrometers, OGP, gage pins, thread gages, indicators, calipers, and other equipment.
• Understand and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Read and comprehend layouts, job travelers, and blueprints.
• Ensure written manufacturing processes and procedures are followed.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of experience in CNC setup and Swiss operating.
• Familiarity with operating CNC Swiss or L20 machines.
• Experience with ISO Quality System, particularly in medical device manufacturing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in shop math and numerical control.
• Experience with measuring tools and CNC Swiss technology.

Work Environment

You will work in a brand-new, well-lit, and extremely clean machine shop. The company has been in business for over 11 years and is known for producing tight tolerance R&D parts for major medical companies. The position is for the 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, 2-10pm, with the possibility of initial training on the 1st shift from 6am to 2pm for 4-6 weeks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Circle Pines, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.25 - $40.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
