Water Business Group Director of Owner Advisor Services

The Director of the Water Business Group (WBG) Owner Advisor (OA) will serve as the internal and external OA services practice lead, focusing on expanding market share, standardizing delivery, managing risk, and elevating the HDR brand within the water infrastructure industry. Primary Responsibilities Increase HDR OA services market share by identifying and pursuing OA services contracts with clients. Standardize HDR OA services delivery across the business group, developing best‑practice toolkits and protocols. Identify and mitigate comprehensive risks related to OA service contracts, including scope liability, design milestones, value engineering, and quality control. Elevate and maintain the HDR OA services brand in the water infrastructure market, ensuring consistent quality and client satisfaction. Lead and support client and HDR staff education on collaborative delivery models and the benefits of the Owner Advisor role. Oversee the delivery of OA services across the business group, ensuring proper risk assignment and performance guarantees. Collaborate with business group general counsel to refine contractual, procedural, commercial, and technical practices. Recruit and integrate top OA delivery candidates into the OA program. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a professional, architectural, engineering, or closely related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in a related field. Professional or engineering registration with relevant technical experience. Experience developing and managing diverse teams. Ability to collaborate with regional directors, operations managers, technical directors, and marketing managers. Commitment to quality improvement and HDR values. Active participation in HDR employee‑owned culture. Compensation & Benefits The expected compensation range for this position is $144,081 - $274,440 depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
