About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Academic Officer (CAO) to lead its academic enterprise with a focus on education, research, innovation, and workforce development. The successful candidate will be a visionary and collaborative leader, responsible for shaping a culture of academic distinction that supports learners, faculty, physicians, and the communities they serve. This role is pivotal in the organization's academic evolution, particularly as it expands its role as a premier teaching and learning environment. The CAO will oversee undergraduate and graduate medical education, expand allied health and interprofessional training programs, strengthen research initiatives, and deepen academic affiliations. Strategic partnerships and a commitment to innovation and clinical excellence are integral to the mission. Candidates for the CAO position at the company should be M.D., D.O., or M.D./Ph.D. with a strong background in academic medicine and a distinguished record in medical education. The ideal leader will have significant leadership experience, a proven track record in academic administration, scholarship, strategic planning, and relationship-building. Strong business acumen, financial stewardship, and exceptional communication skills are essential. The role requires an inspiring and highly collaborative individual who can unite various stakeholders around a shared vision for academic excellence. The CAO will be instrumental in the organization's transformation into a fully integrated academic health center and will have the opportunity to elevate its national reputation as a leading non-university-affiliated academic health system.
