Description

• Assess patients across the lifespan, utilizing standardized evaluations and observational techniques to gain comprehensive insights.
• Create individualized treatment plans tailored to achieve both immediate and long-term goals related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Deliver focused speech therapy interventions to improve language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with an array of professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to ensure the best possible care.
• Educate patients and families to empower their progress beyond the therapy sessions.
• Contribute to inpatient speech therapy efforts as needed, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain clear and timely documentation that meets organizational, state, and federal standards.
• Stay abreast of advances in speech pathology through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Must possess a state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
