Benefits Customer Service Representative – Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Location: San Diego, CA (Remote Eligible)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week with potential overtime during peak seasons. Hours may range from 32–40 hours during slower periods.
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, bilingual (Spanish/English) Customer Service Representative to assist members with benefits-related inquiries. This remote position requires excellent communication skills, strong customer service experience, and the ability to explain complex benefits information in a clear and professional manner while maintaining confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Assist Spanish-speaking members with benefits and plan-related questions
- Build rapport and provide exceptional customer service
- Explain complex benefit information in simple, easy-to-understand terms
- Translate conversations accurately between Spanish and English
- Maintain accurate call documentation and case notes in English
- Protect confidential information in compliance with HIPAA and data privacy regulations
- Review and understand client benefit plan documents
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings
- Collaborate professionally with teammates
- Perform other assigned duties
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Fluent in Spanish and English (verbal and written)
- Previous customer service experience
- Comfortable working in a remote/virtual environment
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment
