Emish Market is a Ukrainian grocery store located in Fife, WA, offering a wide selection of imported goods from Ukraine and other European countries. In addition to our market, we operate a full-service café, bakery, and meat department, preparing fresh Ukrainian dishes, pastries, and specialty meats daily. Our mission is to create a warm, authentic, and memorable experience for every guest.We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Hot Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This role focuses on preparing hot menu items for our café and deli operations and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintains high food quality standards, and works efficiently during busy service periods.What You'll DoPrepare and cook hot food items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelinesOperate grills, fryers, ovens, flat tops, and other kitchen equipment safely and effectivelySet up and stock cooking stations with all necessary ingredients and supplies before and during serviceEnsure all food is cooked, plated, and served in a timely mannerMonitor food quality, freshness, and consistency throughout each shiftMaintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations and equipmentFollow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all timesAssist with prep work, inventory rotation, and closing duties as neededWork closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient serviceWork Schedule: 10:30am - 6:30pm Wed - Fri, 2:00pm - 10:30pm Sat - SunPay & Compensation: $18 per hourBenefits:We offer competitive employee benefits including paid sick leave (1 hour per 40 hours worked), partial employer-covered medical insurance (75% for full-time employees), and paid vacation: 1 week after 1 year of employment and 2 weeks after 2 years.Required QualificationsPrevious experience as a line cook, hot line cook, or similar position in a restaurant or commercial kitchenAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneouslyStrong teamwork and communication skillsKnowledge of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling standardsAbility to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbsReliability, punctuality, and strong work ethicAbility to maintain quality and consistency during busy service periods
