Job Title Student Worker- Office of President: Dallas Operations Assistant Agency East Texas A&M University Department Dallas Campus Proposed Minimum Salary $12.00 hourly Job Location Commerce, Texas Job Type Student Worker Job Description Assistant for the day-to-day operations at the East Texas A&M- Dallas location. Please note that this job will begin in the Fall 2026 semester. We are looking for students who will have at least a year or 2 years to complete their program. Role and Responsibilities Responsibilities and duties includes, but are not limited to: Preferred hours would be Monday - Thursday, and some Fridays as needed Work time TBD Greet and welcome faculty/staff, students, and visitors Cover the reception area on the designated floors as needed Answer all incoming calls and redirect them and/or take messages Assists with a variety of office documentation Complete any assigned work independently and with accuracy, after given oral and/or written instructions Maintains office area in a neat and orderly manner Assist Dallas Operations team as needed Assist with events and activities held in the location Other duties as assigned Preferred Skills Ability to work cooperatively with others in a variety of situations Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate effectively with other offices on campus Ability to execute duties with attention to detail Ability to work independently Excellent support service orientation Ability to multitask All positions are security-sensitive. These roles help students gain hands-on experience in a professional setting. May work up to 19 hours per week while classes are in session May work full-time during breaks and summer if enrolled for the upcoming fall Must not work during scheduled class times Open to all actively enrolled students regardless of financial aid status Students do not need to be enrolled during summer if they plan to return in the fall Work-study positions are need-based jobs funded through federal or state financial aid programs and allow students to earn money to help pay for educational expenses. Must be awarded federal or state work-study through Financial Aid May work up to 19 hours per week during the semester May work full-time during breaks and summer if returning in the fall Must not work during scheduled class times Positions are limited to the amount awarded and must follow program guidelines Graduate assistantships offer opportunities to teach, conduct research, or assist in academic departments while continuing your graduate education.
