• Assist with the collection of specimens and prepare samples for testing as necessary.
• Document all procedures in detail, mentor new staff or students, and ensure high lab operational standards are met.
• Foster a safe and organized workspace, complying with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a comparable allied health degree with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Required Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of employment.
• Continuous maintenance of current certification is required during employment.
