Job Title: RN Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing Certifications: - Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire date - BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date - Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire date - Advanced Cardiac Life Support obtained prior to hire date Must-Have: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, ability to work in a stressful environment Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment. Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
