Role Overview The Director, Business Operations is a strategic leadership role at the center of how Canopy A&D runs as a platform. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this role owns platform‑wide operational execution, performance reporting, M&A integration, and develops the standardized operating model that allows Canopy A&D’s operating companies to scale. This is a high‑visibility role with regular interaction with the executive team. The ideal candidate embraces ambiguity, and can lead multiple complex, cross‑functional workstreams end‑to‑end with minimal oversight. Key Responsibilities Build platform‑level systems and processes that establish a standardized operating model across the operating companies Lead strategic initiatives and operational projects that enable Canopy A&D to scale Lead M&A operational integration including ERP adoption, and systems/process consolidation Own all corporate metrics and lead monthly and quarterly reporting cycles across the platform Own the end‑to‑end creation and rollout of functional standard operating procedures across the operating companies Manage platform investments and track return on investment Advise platform and company leadership on how to operate efficiently Required Qualifications B.S. in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related technical field 7‑10 years in program management, operations, engineering, or management consulting, preferably within a highly regulated manufacturing environment Demonstrated ability to manage 6‑8 workstreams end‑to‑end simultaneously Advanced knowledge of AI tools Proficiency with ERP systems Advanced‑level user of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel Experience building materials for, and presenting directly to, executive leadership and investors Preferred Qualifications MBA or master’s degree in Business, Engineering Management, Operations, or a related technical field Prior experience in a startup, private‑equity‑backed, or high‑growth manufacturing environment with evolving systems and processes Experience leading or supporting M&A integration, including systems and process harmonization across newly acquired entities Experience working within A&D or similarly regulated industries (AS9100, ITAR/EAR etc.) Job Details Type: Full Time, Exempt (Salaried) Base Salary Range: $160,000 to $180,000 Business Hours: Core Business Hours Base Location: Irvine, CA — Full Time, On‑Site Travel: As needed to various company facilities Additional Requirements: Willingness to work long hours and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines Willingness to travel to other Canopy A&D sites as needed The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
