Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Location: Albany, NY

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a critical role within our healthcare team. The ideal candidate must possess strong clinical skills in Labor and Delivery, with experience and competence in nursery care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to laboring patients and newborns in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, assessing and interpreting data accurately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Perform nursing interventions and document patient progress using the Epic charting system.
• Assist in delivering infants and provide immediate care in nursery settings.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NY State RN license in hand.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Prior travel experience within acute care settings is preferred.
• Nursery skills are required.
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification within the past two years.
• BLS and NRP certifications are mandatory.
