Warehouse Bakery Department, Ingredient Preparation with Sheeter Experience

Award winning specialty food manufacturer is immediately hiring a highly motivated worker with food processing background. This is a fast paced environment and the role will focus on making specialty dough utilizing a thining machine (extruder) to get the dough to a specific thickness . This specialty manufacturer is know for making their products by hand and distributing nation-wide.

Role: Dough Maker (dough lamination)
Shift: 7:00AM to 3:30PM ( Requires schedule flexibility during the 2-3 first months of training.)
Compensation : $18.00/HR-$20.00
Location: Bronx

Fast-paced specialty food manufacturer is immediately hiring a highly motivated dough maker for laminating puff pastry dough on a Rondo sheeter SS0677 . Must be energetic, focused and give attention to detail for high quality products. This position requires ability to work with little supervision after training.

Experience in bread/dough making preferred. Must be analytical and handy.

requirements:

• Bi-lingual English-Spanish preferred
• Must be punctual and efficient
• Must be able to take and follow directions
• Must be able to work independently and as a team
• Must be focused, detail orientated and be able to work diligently
• Must be able to meet physical demands including extended periods of standing and walking throughout the day
• Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs, push/pull racks of dough
• Must follow company SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
• Must clean equipment and workstations at the end of the shift or product change
• Must follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and report hazards
• Must be in uniform and ready to work to punch in and must punch out before changing out of their uniforms.
• No cell phone allowed within the production areas

• Must be groomed to work in a food environment (short nails, no nail polish, no jewels, no perfume, tight hair)
• Must bring non-slip shoes and light work pants (pants might not always be available in the size of the associate)
• We provide shirts, aprons, hairnets, beard nets, nitrile gloves, face masks
• Must bring a padlock to keep their personal valuables

Medical concerns:
Plant handles large quantities of flours and all main allergens
Staff must wear nitrile gloves
