Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current and valid Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure for New York State
• Open to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) applicants with appropriate school-based experience
• Experience working in school settings, preferably with middle and high school students
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, school staff, and families
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques to diverse learning and developmental needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in both middle and high school settings
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in alignment with students’ IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to promote students’ access to the educational environment
• Document student progress, maintain records, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
• Offer recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment
• Support students in achieving greater independence and participation in school activities
