Work Environment

You will be working in our outpatient facility located in Merrick, NY, where you will collaborate with a cohesive team of healthcare professionals. Our clinic is equipped with the latest rehabilitation equipment and technology, designed to support evidence-based practices and enhance patient outcomes. The working hours are Monday to Friday, with a commitment of 40 hours per week, providing a structured yet flexible work schedule that allows for a balanced lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

• You will conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients referred by physicians, developing tailored treatment plans based on individual needs and clinical findings.
• Implement a variety of treatment techniques and modalities, ensuring that each session is focused on maximizing patient recovery and functional independence.
• Maintain excellent customer service by establishing rapport with patients, actively listening to their concerns, and addressing any questions throughout their treatment.
• Collaborate with your peers and support staff to discuss patient progress and develop interdisciplinary strategies that enhance overall treatment effectiveness.
• Utilize home visit protocols when necessary, offering therapy within the patient's living environment to adapt exercises and interventions suited to their specific needs.
• Consult with and provide education to patients and their caregivers about rehabilitation strategies, health maintenance, and injury prevention to empower them beyond the clinical setting.
• Meet designated utilization goals and contribute to team objectives, ensuring we provide the highest level of service to our entire patient population.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will involve treating a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, pediatric concerns, and sports-related ailments. Qualifications

• Graduate of a physical therapy program accredited by the APTA or CAPTE.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is mandatory; advanced degrees are desirable but not required.
• Active physical therapy license in New York.
• Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective patient interactions.
• Proficient in word processing and various electronic health record systems.

Compensation and Benefits
