Work Environment

You will be based on-site at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Freeport, NY. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed physical assessments of patients to determine their specific rehabilitation needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
• Monitor and document patient progress thoroughly, modifying treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, treatment plans, and home exercises to support recovery.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective communication regarding treatment goals and progress.
• Participate in clinical teaching, mentorship, and training of interns and junior staff to promote a culture of shared knowledge and professional growth.
• Engage in clinical research initiatives related to orthopedic physical therapy in conjunction with departmental leadership.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. This role focuses on a diverse patient demographic that includes individuals of all ages seeking rehabilitation to restore function, alleviate pain, and enhance mobility. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active New York State Physical Therapy license.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in physical therapy, particularly within an orthopedic setting.
• Demonstrable proficiency in patient assessment, treatment planning, and executing therapeutic interventions.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience. In addition, we offer a full suite of benefits including:
