Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Tennessee Teaching License required
• CDC certification
• Experience or strong interest in self-contained special education environments
• Background working with diverse student populations and individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create a nurturing, structured classroom environment and adapt instruction to meet varied learning needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement specialized instructional strategies tailored to each student’s IEP
• Manage classroom activities, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere for all learners
• Collaborate closely with fellow educators, support staff, and families to promote student progress
• Track and assess student growth, maintaining accurate records and reporting as needed
• Participate in meetings, training, and professional development related to special education best practices
• Uphold all regulatory and ethical standards in support of student well-being
