Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Bilingual Administrative Assistant to join our team at a fast-paced recycling facility. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position with opportunities for growth within the company.
The ideal candidate is self-driven, organized, able to multitask efficiently, and has excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
Pay
- Starting pay: DOE
- Opportunity for pay increases based on performance for the right candidate.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Must be flexible to arrive early or stay late based on business needs.
Busy Season: December 1 – May 30
Due to operational demands during our busy season, vacation requests and personal days will be limited. Work hours may be extended as needed, with shifts ranging from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM .
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer and sales inquiries via email and fax.
- Enter customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the dispatch team to coordinate deliveries and resolve scheduling issues.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify the appropriate personnel of low inventory.
- Complete reports and other assignments by established deadlines.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the Office Manager, Production Manager, and Supervisors.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Process walk-in customer transactions and payments.
Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Two years of administrative or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and other computer applications. (Will be tested)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
- Must be comfortable working in an industrial environment where strong odors may occasionally be present due to the nature of our recycling operations.
