This role ensures that operations are safe, efficient, cost-effective, and customer-focused while maintaining high standards for quality, inventory, vehicle compliance, and employee development. The Regional Operations Manager leads and develops teams, monitors delivery performance, ensures compliance with company policies and FMCSA/DOT guidelines, and works cross-functionally to create a seamless customer experience. This position also identifies opportunities to improve operational processes, reduce product and property damage, and drive continuous improvement throughout the organization. What you will be doing each day: Oversee the daily operations of delivery teams ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and exceptional customer service. Ensure compliance with company policies and FMCSA/DOT guidelines for commercial motor vehicle operations. Continuously monitor delivery routes to maximize efficiency, address opportunities as they arise, and maintain strong on-time performance. Investigate delivery-related incidents, including property damage, vehicle accidents, and injuries, and implement appropriate corrective actions. Maintain accurate inventory records by auditing compliance with established processes. Ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations, including proper handling of products. Ensure delivery trucks and service vehicles are serviced at appropriate intervals and maintained in clean condition, both internally and externally. Ensure warehouse housekeeping, safety, security, organization, and sanitation standards are maintained daily. Work closely with Fleet Maintenance to ensure vehicles remain compliant with DOT inspection requirements. Train and develop employees by providing guidance on safety, quality standards, operational procedures, and customer interactions. Collaborate with Customer Experience, Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction. Make recommendations to the VP of Operations regarding programs and initiatives that improve operational performance. Develop and direct programs designed to maintain cost-effective operations. Track and report key performance metrics for delivery, furniture service, and store warehouse operations. Promote new methods and processes to reduce damage to products, equipment, and facilities. Conduct team and departmental meetings to ensure employees understand departmental issues and remain aligned with company goals and objectives. Identify and recommend improvements outside of the Regional Operations Manager's direct area of influence. Participate in daily operational meetings. Participate in daily cross-departmental meetings. Facilitate recurring team and departmental meetings. We are looking for individuals with: High School Diploma required. 3+ years of experience in delivery operations management. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent coaching, guiding, and employee development skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Effective interpersonal communication skills. The ability to lead and direct others to achieve expected results. Strong resource management skills, including the ability to optimize equipment, facilities, employees, methods, and materials. Effective time management and organizational skills. The ability to respond professionally to difficult employee situations and internal or external customer issues or inquiries. Strong attention to detail. The ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions. The ability to manage multiple tasks and demands effectively. A customer-centric mindset. The ability to actively participate in a team environment that fosters forward thinking, innovation, and creativity while meeting current and future business needs. The ability to drive a non-CDL commercial box truck 26' in length. Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices for warehouse and delivery operations. The ability to obtain and maintain a required company-issued powered industrial vehicle license. The ability to manipulate and move 250 pounds or more. The ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach. The ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
