You will manage the complete enrollment process for a campus, beginning with initial inquiry and continuing through onboarding. This role does not involve handoffs. You own how families perceive us, how thoroughly they grasp the model, and whether enrollment decisions reflect genuine alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate informed discussions, and recommend against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not to maximize numbers. The objective is to ensure fit.
We welcome candidates from high-end service backgrounds outside conventional education: selective independent schools, competitive programs, upscale hospitality, executive concierge services, exclusive membership platforms, or entrepreneurial leaders who have personally directed high-stakes client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a nuanced, multi-phase engagement with discernment, transparency, and accountability.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are currently hiring in Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, San Francisco, Palo Alto, Piedmont, Palm Beach, Charlotte, and Raleigh. Relocation assistance is provided.
What You Will Be Doing
- Managing the complete enrollment experience for prospective families, from initial outreach through final onboarding.
- Facilitating discovery conversations to evaluate alignment before proposing solutions or advising on next actions.
- Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across varied enrollment stages, maintaining transparent tracking and timely follow-up.
- Delivering campus visits, shadow day experiences, and decision-stage dialogues that articulate outcomes, standards, and ideal family profiles.
- Keeping CRM and enrollment databases current and accurate (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, priority management, and service excellence.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Employing transactional or aggressive sales methods.
- Accepting families who lack alignment solely to meet enrollment targets.
- Leading large teams or navigating complex approval hierarchies.
- Distributing ownership of the family journey across multiple personnel.
- Operating remotely. This position is campus-based by necessity.
Director Of Admissions Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver a high-trust, selective enrollment process that attracts aligned families while safeguarding the integrity and academic performance of the Alpha model.
Basic Requirements
- 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly influences brand standing (education, upscale hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership, or owner-led service businesses).
- Proven ownership of a full-cycle client, admissions, or enrollment process from initial contact through successful onboarding.
- Experience managing 20+ concurrent client, guest, or family relationships across different process stages, supported by a reliable tracking and prioritization method.
- Ability to offer specific examples of advisory decision-making, including instances where you advised against your offering when fit was lacking.
- Professional writing experience addressing senior leaders, high-net-worth individuals, or discerning clientele.
- Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; San Francisco, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; Palm Beach, FL; Charlotte, NC; or Raleigh, NC.
- Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Background in competitive private school admissions or selective program recruitment.
- Experience in upscale hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level support functions.
- Track record building or optimizing enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
- Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance enrollment quality, not merely velocity.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
