Position overview Position title: Gastroenterology Project Scientists Salary range: A reasonable salary range estimate for this position is $76,700- $201,900. The posted UC Academic Salary Scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment. Position description The Department of Medicine and the Division of Gastroenterology at the University of California, San Diego are committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body and seek Assistant, Associate, or Full Project Scientists. Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the selected candidates will: Design, manage, and/or conduct experiments Train, mentor, and teach in a research setting to students and others in the field Lead and/or contribute innovative and significant efforts to the project(s); participate in and/or present at scientific meetings Write and/or contribute to scientific reports, manuscripts, and grant proposals for submission and/or publication. Appointments will be at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Project Scientist level based on background and years of experience.
