Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

A growing, private equity-backed food production platform is building out its finance function and looking for a Senior Finance Analyst or FP&A Manager to join a small but expanding team. This is a high-visibility role within a company that recently consolidated operations and is investing heavily in modernizing its financial systems and reporting infrastructure. You’ll work directly with operational leaders to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights, while also helping shape the team’s tools and processes during a period of significant growth and change. What You’ll Do Explain financial performance to operational leaders by breaking down cost sheets, production data, margins, and yields in terms that resonate with non-finance stakeholders Build dashboards and visuals that make complex financial data accessible and easy to act on Develop a deep understanding of the business, its cost drivers, and the story behind the numbers Participate in weekly reporting cycles, including presenting to senior leadership and ownership Support the transition from QuickBooks to a new ERP system Help drive adoption of FP&A and automation tools, including AI-assisted analysis platforms Manage and mentor a cost accountant/analyst as the team grows What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field 5+ years of progressive FP&A experience, with demonstrated career growth (not someone who has stayed in the same role for over a decade) Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate financial data into a clear narrative for operational audiences Experience with FP&A tools and dashboard building Working knowledge of ERP systems Comfort with database-driven reporting environments Food industry or manufacturing experience strongly preferred A talkative, proactive, self-starter mindset, comfortable figuring things out independently in a fast-changing environment Why This Role Join a team in growth mode, with a clear path to taking on more scope as the function builds out Get exposure to ownership, executive leadership, and an active private equity sponsor Work in an environment that’s actively modernizing its tech stack, including AI-assisted analysis tools Manage and develop a direct report from day one Be part of shaping the finance function rather than stepping into a fully built-out structure Process Candidates can expect a multi-stage interview process including conversations with finance leadership and a session with representatives from the ownership group. #J-18808-Ljbffr My Ideal Recruiter
