Company Description The French-American Chamber of Commerce of Southern California (SoCal FACC) is a key organization supporting French and American companies in expanding their business internationally. Founded in 1996, it assists French companies establishing operations in the United States and helps Californian companies grow in France and Europe. The chamber provides business services, high-quality networking opportunities, and fosters economic, financial, and commercial relationships between France and the United States. In 2017, it launched Ouistart, a co-working space designed to help entrepreneurs and startups develop their ventures in a collaborative environment. Role Description This part-time Sales Business Development role is a hybrid position based in San Diego, CA, with some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves identifying and qualifying leads, reaching out to prospective members and partners, and presenting SoCal FACC services and membership benefits. The individual will conduct market research to spot business opportunities, support sales campaigns, and help build pipelines for French and American companies interested in cross-border growth. Daily tasks include maintaining accurate records in CRM tools, following up with prospects, and coordinating with internal teams to support events, networking activities, and partner initiatives. The role also includes providing responsive customer service to members and prospects and contributing ideas to improve outreach and engagement strategies. Qualifications Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with members, prospects, and partners. Proficiency in Lead Generation and Market Research to identify opportunities and support business development efforts. Solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, assess market trends, and support decision-making. Previous experience in sales, business development, or account management, ideally in a B2B or international trade environment. Comfort working in a hybrid setting in San Diego, CA, with the ability to manage time and priorities independently. Familiarity with CRM systems and basic productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software). Interest in international business, especially U.S.–France or broader European markets; additional language skills such as French are an advantage.
