$212k - $287kIntuit
Money movement is one of Intuit's fastest-growing businesses — the engine behind every card payment, ACH transfer, real-time payment, instant deposit, bill pay, and cross-border transaction that flows through our platform. Behind each of those transactions is a network of partners: card networks, acquirers and processors, sponsor banks, payment networks, digital wallets, and risk and compliance providers. The terms, economics, and resilience of those partnerships directly shape how fast we grow, how healthy our margins are, and how good the experience is for tens of millions of customers. Overview Money movement is one of Intuit's fastest-growing businesses — the engine behind every card payment, ACH transfer, real-time payment, instant deposit, bill pay, and cross-border transaction that flows through our platform. The Principal Partnerships Manager, Payments owns that entire partner ecosystem — sourcing, structuring, and negotiating the external relationships, and orchestrating the internal alignment across Engineering, Product, Business Development, Legal, and Data Science needed to turn each deal into real, measurable value. This is a senior individual-contributor role with outsized scope: you'll operate everywhere from the boardroom to the contract redline to the launch dashboard, in a business where the partner landscape and regulatory backdrop are moving fast — and where your decisions have direct, visible impact on Intuit's growth. We're looking for a strategic, commercially sharp, and results-driven partnerships leader to define and execute Intuit's money movement partner strategy. You'll own a portfolio of our most critical payments partners, go out and source new relationships that expand what we can offer and improve our economics, and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on build-vs-buy-vs-partner decisions across the money movement value chain. This role sits at the intersection of high-stakes external negotiation and high-influence internal leadership. You'll negotiate directly with partner organizations, and you'll lead — without direct authority — the cross-functional effort across Product, Engineering, Business Development, Legal, Finance, Treasury, and Data Science that brings each partnership to market and scales it. Few roles in fintech offer this level of end-to-end ownership over how money actually moves for a platform this size. Responsibilities Define, own, and execute the multi-year partnership strategy for payments and money movement, aligned to growth, margin, speed-to-market, and risk objectives. Continuously evaluate build vs. buy vs. partner tradeoffs and bring new perspectives on how to achieve product and business goals. Source, structure, and negotiate complex commercial agreements across the money movement ecosystem — card networks, acquirers and processors, sponsor and partner banks, ACH/RTP/FedNow and other payment rails, wallets, and KYC/fraud/risk providers — securing favorable economics and terms while building durable partner relationships. Serve as the end-to-end owner of priority third-party partnerships: develop joint business plans, define launch strategy, and monitor performance against KPIs including payment volume, attach, authorization and approval rates, cost per transaction, and partner-driven revenue. Drive internal alignment across Engineering, Product, Business Development, Legal, and Data Science — on integration and roadmap requirements, company-wide partner strategy, deal structure and risk, and partner economics and opportunity sizing — so every team is working from the same playbook on each partner. Act as a trusted thought partner to executive leadership, delivering market intelligence, partner benchmarking, and data-driven recommendations that guide investment and prioritization decisions. Manage partner economics and commercial performance over the life of the agreement — renegotiating terms, resolving escalations, and identifying opportunities to expand partnerships into new capabilities, rails, and markets. Proactively monitor the competitive, regulatory, and risk landscape across money movement, translating shifts into strategy and contingency plans that keep Intuit ahead of the curve rather than reacting to it. Qualifications 10+ years of overall experience with significant time spent in partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances, with direct experience in payments, money movement, or financial infrastructure strongly preferred. Deep, demonstrated understanding of the payments value chain and money movement economics — card networks, acquiring/processing, sponsor banking, ACH and real-time rails (RTP, FedNow), interchange, and the risk/compliance considerations that govern them. Proven track record of independently sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and closing complex, multi-faceted partnerships with large strategic enterprises and financial institutions that delivered significant and quantifiable results. Experience managing a portfolio of strategic partners, including building joint business plans, tracking performance against KPIs, and consistently exceeding growth and margin targets. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functionally through influence — aligning Engineering, Product, Business Development, Legal, and Data Science partners around shared outcomes without direct authority. Experience navigating a partnership or product through a significant regulatory or market shift (e.g., new payment rails, evolving compliance requirements) is a strong plus. Excellent communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers internally and at partner organizations. Strategic mindset, strong business acumen, and a data-driven approach, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, regulatory complexity, and rapid change in a high-growth environment. Demonstrated ability to operate independently — defining strategy, initiating ideas, and driving outcomes with minimal guidance. Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position may be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
