Materials Engineer II

Materials Engineer IIPrimary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Materials Engineer II with our medical device client in Mounds View, MN. This is a 24-month contract with a potential for extension.Pay: $40.00 - $50.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Analyzes, researches, designs and develops materials and their related fabrication and application processes to develop and optimize materials for use in engineering design of and/or application in structures, systems and subsystems.Applies principles of chemistry, physics, and material behavior to develop metallic, nonmetallic and composite material and processing specifications, fabrication and assembly processes.Develops, analyzes and applies material properties and design allowables, processing processes and quality engineering specifications.Material analyses may include failure analysis of components, systems and subsystems, life predictions, and definition and requirement specifications.May review and approve subcontractor material processing procedures.Must Have:Knowledge of Electro ChemistryKnowledge of materials and interactions with the body and environment and ability to correlate material properties with product performance to predict various failure modesLab work experienceNice to Have:Deep knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory PracticesExperience of analytical techniques like HPLC, gas chromatography (GC), PCR, spectrophotometry.Knowledge and experience of Materials Characterization TechniquesPrimary Talent Partners is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
