Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Scheduler to manage and maintain project schedules for construction and infrastructure projects using Primavera P6. The Scheduler will develop, update and analyze project schedules, support project controls activities, monitor progress against baseline plans, and produce regular reports including weekly incident reports. The role requires strong technical scheduling skills, excellent communication with project teams and the ability to identify and mitigate schedule risks to help deliver projects on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules in Primavera P6 (P6) reflecting activity sequences, logic, durations and resource assignments.
• Integrate schedule inputs from multiple disciplines and subcontractors to create a consolidated master schedule and phased look-ahead schedules.
• Perform schedule analysis, including critical path analysis, float management, and scenario comparisons to support decision making and change management.
• Prepare, distribute and present weekly schedule updates and reports, including Weekly Incident Reports that document delays, impacts, mitigations and recovery plans.
• Coordinate with Project Controls, planners, engineers and construction teams to ensure schedule alignment with cost forecasts, resource plans and procurement activities.
• Monitor progress on-site, validate progress data, and reconcile actuals against planned activities; recommend corrective actions to maintain schedule integrity.
• Support claims and entitlement reviews by preparing time-impact analyses and maintaining supporting schedule documentation and baselines.
• Maintain scheduling standards, templates and best practices; provide training and mentoring to junior schedulers and project staff as needed.
• Participate in project meetings, progress reviews and coordination sessions to communicate schedule status, risks and opportunities.
• Ensure schedule configuration management, version control and archive retention for audit and contractual purposes.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Scheduler on construction or heavy civil projects; demonstrable experience using Primavera P6 (P6).
• Proficient in Primavera P6 scheduling techniques, including activity coding, resource and cost loading, baseline management and critical path analysis.
• Familiarity with Project Controls processes including schedule risk analysis, change management, and integration with cost and procurement systems.
• Experience preparing and communicating Weekly Incident Reports or similar progress/delay reporting; strong documentation skills.
• Working knowledge of construction sequencing, methodologies, contract fundamentals and site progress measurement techniques.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to synthesize schedule data into clear recommendations and reports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience integrating schedule data with reporting tools; experience with other scheduling tools or ERP systems is a plus.
• Certifications such as PMI-SP or AACE scheduling credentials are advantageous.
