The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Jenison seeking Production Leads who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Lead and mentor a team of production operators, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and company policies.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing or workflow as needed to meet targets.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and production line issues.
• Conduct quality control checks and ensure products meet specifications.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize production.
• Train new production staff on standard operating procedures and equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing production, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Strong understanding of production processes, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze production data, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Demonstrated experience in ensuring safety compliance and promoting a strong safety culture.
• Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) and other production management software.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
• Proficiency in using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members.
• Certification in a relevant area (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt, PMP).
• Bilingual proficiency, especially in languages common among the workforce.
