Adjunct Instructor Positions (Kigali)

Description Carnegie Mellon University Africa (CMU-Africa) is seeking passionate and experienced adjunct instructors to teach graduate-level courses during the Fall 2025 semester (starting August 25, 2025) at our campus in Kigali, Rwanda . These are in-person teaching roles with the possibility of renewal for the Spring 2026 semester , depending on course availability and mutual interest. We are looking for individuals with previous teaching experience and/or relevant industry expertise in one or more of the following areas: Software Engineering Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Cybersecurity Cloud Computing IT Entrepreneurship If you’re excited about shaping the future of technology in Africa and contributing to a world-class academic environment, we encourage you to apply. A list of available courses and their descriptions can be found below: 04-630: Data Structures and Algorithms for Engineers ( 18-641: Design Patterns for Smartphone Development 18-652: Foundations of Software Engineering ( 04-800 I: Introduction to Systems Software Engineering 04-655: Artificial Intelligence for Engineers ( 18-785: Data, Inference, and Applied Machine Learning 04-800 K: AIOps: Continuous and Automated IT and AI Monitoring ( 04-800 AH: Cybersecurity Operations Project 18-731: Network Security ( 18-799: Robotics: Principles and Practice 04-730 Augmented and Virtual Reality ( 04-801-N1 Electronic Business and Technology Qualifications Ph.D in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or closely related fields is preferred, or equivalent. Combination of advanced degree in the listed fields with strong teaching background, relevant industry experience and/or tech entrepreneurship, and other related qualifications.
