Overview Boeing Pre-Employment Training (BPET) – Assembler Wire Group – Repair – 21204 Boeing Commercial Airplanes is offering students and recent graduates of certified BPET programs an opportunity to join our Fabrication team as an Assembler Wire Group – Repair in Everett, Washington. In this role you will play a crucial part in the assembly and fabrication of high‑precision components, ensuring that each product meets our quality and safety standards. Eligibility This position is exclusively open to candidates who have completed a Boeing Pre-Employment Training (BPET) certified course or are military servicemembers or recent veterans from an aligned Military Career Skills Program. The role requires full US person status (US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) to meet export control requirements. Position Responsibilities Assemble, join, mechanically fasten, or rework parts and assemblies to create subassemblies that meet quality standards, adhering to established processes and procedures. Identify and locate reference points, parts, and assemblies using established lines or index points, deriving measurements from drawings, prints, and work orders. Execute pre‑sequenced tasks, including rework, repairs, functional checks, and authorized modifications, while maintaining the required skill level. Select appropriate parts, materials, tools, and assemblies, determining the sequence of work as necessary. Report job‑related issues, such as errors in parts or assembly procedures, in accordance with shop procedures as outlined by the supervisor. Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in work assignments. Perform fabrication tasks, including reaming, drilling, riveting, sanding, filing, grinding, and shaping of sheet metal parts, as well as forming, countersinking, crimping, and bending. Prepare and mix adhesives, cements, and foams for bonding, sealing, and riveting detail parts and components. Load, unload, and operate ovens for sealing or bonding detail parts to assemblies. Apply protective materials to assemblies to ensure durability and compliance with specifications. Assemble and install mechanical accessories such as latches, locks, and pulleys. Work with various materials, including plastics, extrusions, castings, and forgings, during assembly operations. Route, clamp, and secure electrical installation components as required. Coordinate and manage the movement of materials within the assigned area to ensure efficient workflow. Physical Demands and Potential Hazards • Lifting weights ranging from 10–15 lbs to15–35 lbs. • Performing movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting. • Working in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, coolants, and proximity to moving parts and tools, including sharp cutters and potential slipping hazards. • Adapting to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions. • Utilizing personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties. • The role is expected to be 100% onsite at one of the listed locations. Basic Qualifications Completion of a certified BPET course. Physical ability to lift 35 lbs. Ability to recognize colors. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. High school diploma or GED preferred. Conflict of Interest Successful candidates must complete the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process. Union Representation Hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinists (IAM‑751) Collective Bargaining Agreement. Shift work includes a variety of shifts. Total Rewards & Pay Transparency The pay range for this position is $24.32 per hour, with potential to earn up to $53.30 per hour in accordance with the relevant collective bargaining agreement.
