HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a local contract nurse RN Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Overland Park, Kansas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract Type of equipment :Alaris pumps, kangaroo pump, Pxysis, computers available in every room · Documentation system: Meditech Floating policy: 1. Travelers, 2. PRN staff, 3. Date last floated Must have : ACLS, BLS, NIH Advanced skills needed: The Telemetry & Pulm Step Down Unit (Tele/Pulm) cares for patients with moderate physiologic instability requiring support. Examples include COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CHF & trach patients. Tele/Pulm patients are hemodynamically stable that require cardiac & respiratory monitoring & management every 2-4 hours. The level of care of the Tele/Pulm unit requires less care than the ICU but more than that which is provided in the Medical/Surgical Units. This unit specializes in the care of cardiac and pulmonary patients.
