Senior Accountant Salary: $90,000-120,000 (DOE) Location: Daily onsite in Long Island City, Queens Why This Opportunity Stands Out Work on high-profile NYC project with real impact Join a company recognized as one of NYC’s “Best Places to Work” (Crain’s) Strong upward mobility—proven track record of employees advancing quickly Exposure to complex entities, joint ventures, and large-scale construction accounting ESOP structure—participate in the company’s long‑term success Collaborative accounting team with clear structure and leadership support Key Responsibilities For The Senior Accountant Own accounting for specific entities, including full GL and journal entries Prepare monthly financials, including balance sheets and account reconciliations Lead month‑end close processes (accruals, payables, adjustments) Develop audit schedules and support external audits Manage sales tax, union reporting, and compliance‑related accounting tasks Work within Sage and CMiC systems to maintain accurate financial records Qualifications For The Senior Accountant 3–7+ years of accounting experience (construction or related industry preferred) Strong experience with month‑end close, GL, and financial reporting Experience with Sage and/or CMiC strongly preferred Exposure to audits and compliance (sales tax, union reporting) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance #J-18808-Ljbffr CFS
