Sales Training Supervisor

The Sales Training Supervisor will support sales activities and administration functions for California Direct Sales in one of two sales training centers. Duties include onboarding new agents, training and coaching, administrative and compliance support, and production for new employees in the sales agent trainee role. Objectives are to increase overall sales and individual agent productivity, reduce first‑year turnover, improve agents' sales skills and service quality scores through training and coaching, identify training and knowledge gaps, and revise training curriculum to ensure comprehensive support for agent success within the first 12 months. The Sales Training Supervisor works with Sales Agent Trainees and newly hired support staff and reports to the CA DSU Sales Training Manager. Job Duties Onboard Sales Agent Trainees immediately after training with Education, Training & Development. Use the onboarding manual to help new agents translate training into action, teach computer functions and software, reemphasize Time & Attendance rules, quoting and applications, Club Hub resources, key daily reports and tools; establish initial daily schedule. Conduct training sessions (small groups and individual) primarily focused on Sales Agent Trainees. Use CA DSU Sales Training Operations Bullpen Manual and Curriculum, role‑play, insurance product information, and ACE phone scripts. Coordinate with Sales Training Manager and provide coaching as requested by the Regional Manager for specific agents. Support Regional Managers regarding new business pipeline. Work with assigned agents to get new business policies packaged and uploaded, and use reports to monitor quotes not sold and other lead sources to support Sales Agent Trainee productivity. Support Sales Agent Trainees' service quality and scores. Collaborate with Sales Training and Regional Managers to identify key service quality elements needing improvement, and train/coach/follow up to improve scores. Meet regularly with CA DSU Sales Training Managers. Coordinate scheduling of Sales Agent Trainees' upcoming activities, plan & review training sessions and progress, discuss concerns and trends, confirm logistics for upcoming meetings, and address action items from weekly RM meetings. Support Regional Managers on compliance audits. Complete audits for assigned agents and coach to improve policy documentation, organization, accuracy, Do‑Not‑Call procedures, etc. Serve as a resource for Sales Agent Trainees. Provide comprehensive onboarding to give new agents necessary tools, reduce logistical obstacles, and allow focus on sales immediately. Supervise day‑to‑day operations of the sales training center location assigned, identify and report personnel, technology, or facility issues. Ensure WOTC reporting compliance and that all trainees follow schedules. Track and drive measures of success/impact such as business results, talent pipeline enhancement, retention, and new behaviors demonstrating SAT position performance. Monitor and record drive time for trainees lodging in hotels. Qualifications Bachelor’s equivalent combination of education and experience. 1–3 years of Direct Sales experience (required). Thorough knowledge of insurance sales business practices, procedures, regulation, and compliance (preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (required). Proficiency with all internal sales systems (preferred). Advanced verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and support multiple levels (agents, IBMs, RMs). Thrives in a fast‑paced, challenging, team‑oriented environment. Independent thinker. Excels in training, development, or coaching. Travel Requirements Local travel to DSU locations (40% proficiency). The starting pay range for this position is: $69,300.00 – $92,600.00 Eligible for our incentive program based on organizational, team, and personal performance for full‑time positions.
