Product Operations Specialist, Commerce Product, 3211-1 This product operations role is mapped one-to-one with specific product subdomains, requiring the person to customize their approach based on the unique needs of the team they support. The primary goals for this role include driving alignment on goals, improving scale and efficiency, and disseminating information to stakeholders. Unlike traditional product operations, which focuses heavily on the product development lifecycle and dependency management, this position aims to think in systems to become a scalable partner to the full team. With a team member going on leave, the goal for this hire is to maintain continuity for core planning and OKR rhythms. Location: Remote (West Coast preferred), with in-office options in Seattle, Los Gatos, or Los Angeles Our Team The Commerce Product Operations team builds and supports the systems, tools, and processes that help our product teams plan and execute. We partner with Product Management, Engineering, TPM, Design, Data Science, and non-technical cross-functional partners to run a clear, lightweight operating model across planning, execution, and cross-cutting programs. This engagement supports the Commerce Product Ops team, with a primary focus on the Commerce Lifecycle & Platform (CL&P) product team. CL&P leads the company's end-to-end commerce lifecycle strategy and the foundational capabilities that enable the business to acquire, grow, and retain members while supporting evolving business models — spanning the member lifecycle, identity, platform capabilities, and the ML and decisioning that powers personalization. About This Engagement This is a temporary engagement to help CL&P stand up and document a stronger product operations foundation — ways of working, operating rhythms, and portfolio visibility — and to hand off a durable operating model the team can run independently going forward. Responsibilities Help define and document a set of ways-of-working standards for the team, designed to outlast this engagement Design and pilot core operating cadences (planning, OKRs, QBRs), producing templates and a playbook the team can run on its own, and turn inputs into decision-ready readouts for leadership during the engagement Stand up portfolio-level operating processes: intake and prioritization, roadmap and launch-calendar tracking, and reporting that gives the team a clear view of what's in flight, what's coming, and what's at risk Support stakeholder communication during the engagement by keeping partners across Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams informed of key dates, changes, and dependencies, and establish a single source of truth for plans and decisions Build scalable systems, workflows, and tooling — including AI/automation where useful — that reduce manual effort after the engagement ends Identify and document operational opportunity areas across the product development lifecycle, with recommendations the team can act on beyond the contract term Preferred Background 6+ years of Product Operations, Business Operations, or related experience, ideally including contractor or project-based engagements standing up new processes Experience designing operational processes, rhythms, and systems in fast-moving, ambiguous environments, and working independently within a defined scope Fluency with operating cadences such as planning, OKRs, and QBRs, and the ability to turn messy inputs into clean, decision-ready outputs Demonstrated ability to build tooling and workflows that create leverage, including practical use of AI and automation A sharp eye for operational opportunity areas across a product development lifecycle, and judgment to prioritize recommendations for the team to carry forward Strong cross-functional partnering skills across Product, Engineering, TPM, Design, and non-technical teams Fluency with product/ops tooling (e.g., Jira, Airtable) and comfort adapting shared frameworks to what a team actually needs Outstanding written and verbal communication, including clear updates for leadership Consumer subscription, commerce/payments, identity, or lifecycle/growth domain experience preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Cypress HCM
