Job Overview Spend the summer at Cultus Lake Resort, Central Oregon's premier rustic lakeside lodge with cabins and high speed watercraft rentals. Work with our tight-knit team of around 20 staff members to provide memorable summertime family vacations for our wonderful guests. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation, cooking, plating, and maintenance of dishes in a from‑scratch kitchen that specializes in BBQ and smoked meats. Perform prep work, restock supplies, and sanitize dishes. Cross‑train between back‑of‑house and front‑of‑house duties as appropriate. Perform additional seasonal tasks such as groundskeeping, maintenance projects, and cabin cleaning. Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to move safely over uneven terrain Ability to walk or stand for long portions of the day Ability to safely climb ladders Ability to work in extreme weather Ability to respond quickly to sounds and to see and respond to dangerous situations Ability to operate a work vehicle or UTV with a valid driver’s license All job offers are subject to passing a criminal background check. Qualifications At least 1–2 years of line cook experience; new cooks with a strong work ethic may be considered. Must have or be able to acquire an Oregon food handler card. Remote location requires employees to have access to their own vehicle. Benefits Hourly pay: $15.50 per hour with potential increases for leadership. Tip pool distributes additional wages, historically $5–6k in peak season. 5‑bedroom dorm available; private rooms for staff, with van or RV parking. Housing cost deductions $25–$75 per bi‑weekly paycheck, refunded upon completion of the work agreement as a bonus. No pets allowed in dorm, but pets may stay in private RVs or vans. Additional benefits include staff meals, free on‑site laundry, PTO, employee wifi, eligibility for a 401(k) program for repeat seasons, and access to lake watercraft rentals.
