Shift: 10-Hour Days (0630-1500 or 1045-1915)

Hours/Week: 40+ hours

Employment Type: Travel Contract

Licenses/Certifications: Active RN license; BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS required; CSFA or CSA preferred for First Assist roles

Experience: Minimum 2 years OR/acute care experience; robotics and neuro experience strongly preferred

Pay rate: $50.92 per hour

What You'll Do

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care in a busy OR setting
• Circulate for various case types, including robotic surgeries, neuro-spine, bariatrics, urology, and transplants
• Assist with robotic procedures using Davinci systems and neuro surgeries like craniotomies and aneurysm clipping
• Support general surgeries, bariatric, urological, and transplant procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff for optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain sterile environments, monitor patient status, and manage IV pumps and medication dispensing systems
• Adhere to hospital protocols, including EKG competency assessments and infection control standards

What You Need

Required:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for multi-state licensure
• Minimum 2 years of OR or acute care nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications
• Experience with robotics (Davinci preferred), neuro-spine/neuro-vascular surgeries, and transplant cases
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam prior to start
• Flexibility to work scheduled and weekend shifts, including call shifts

Preferred:

• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR and Alaris IV pumps
• Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA or CSA) or First Assist experience
• Strong neuro and transplant experience
