Job OverviewThe Sanctuary at Brooklyn Center Senior Living is an affordable, friendly senior living community located near the crossroads of I-694, I-94 and Highway 100 in Brooklyn Center. Just down the street from CVS and CUB Foods, The Sanctuary community hosts 158 Assisted Living and Memory Care apartments. Day/Early Evening shiftWeek 1:Thur, Fri, Sat & Sun - 10am-7pmWeek 2: Thur & Fri - 10am-7pmEligible for Full beneifts packageReliable ScheduleThis Chef/Cook position is responsible for ensuring that meals are prepared and presented in accordance with applicable regulations and customer expectations.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook food items to specified temperatures, following standardized recipes to ensure consistent quality, nutritional value, and proper portioning. Weigh and measure ingredients per standardized recipes.Assemble meals and bakery items within designated time frames, complete daily preparation tasks accurately, and assist with special events.Proper knowledge and preparation of texturized diets utilizing International Dysphagia Diet Standardization (IDDSI) standards.Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by following proper cleaning schedules, using recommended equipment and chemicals, separating clean and dirty areas, and thoroughly scrubbing pots and pans as required.Demonstrates the ability to supervise kitchen staff, manage daily operations and customer service in the supervisor’s absence, and effectively communicate resident and guest feedback on meal and service quality.Required Qualifications0 - 1 Year ExperienceMust be 18+ years oldFood Handlers certification Issued by an ANAB-CFP accredited food sanitation program within 90 Days orPreferred QualificationsVocational School Technical Training or Associate Degree - Food Service1 - 3 Years ExperienceWorking knowledge of basic Microsoft applicationsFood Protection Manager certification Issued by an ANAB-CFP accredited food sanitation program within 90 Days orCertified Food Protection Manager certificate (CFPM) Must be issued by the State of Minnesota for locations in the state of MN within 90 DaysBenefit OverviewEbenezer offers a generous benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!
