About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty. License: Registered Nurse license required. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. Must-Have: - Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience. - Vent and transplant experience required. - Must pass a telemetry test prior to start. Description: This position requires working evening/night shifts with every other weekend and some holidays required. Limited requests for time off availability during specific holiday weeks. Successful candidates will work in a fast-paced environment, providing care to acutely ill surgical and trauma patients. Candidates must be willing to work on specific holidays. Nurses will care for both general care and IMC level patients in a designated step down unit. Critical thinking and teamwork skills are essential for this role. The focus will be on providing comprehensive and specialized nursing care to acutely ill adult patients. Specialty populations include patients with complex conditions. Candidates should have experience in an academic medical or trauma center setting. The unit cares for patients with a variety of medical diagnoses and hemodynamic instability. The patient-to-nurse ratio in this unit is manageable to ensure high-quality care. Successful candidates will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to quality patient care.
