ABOUT US:
Located just steps away from breathtaking views of the Statue of Liberty and other incredible sights in a super artistic community, we are a tiny but mightly (!) catering & event company in red hook, brooklyn serving the local artisans, film & construction crews and creatives. (Location is mportant as the commute can be tricky if you are taking public transport.)

We also provide on demand lunches, busy barista bar and maintain a growing artisanal retail marketplace. We pride ourselves on scratch made, small batch cooking, local sourcing of ingredients & products and our sustainable approach to single use & other materials.

We are seeking a professional experienced culinary genius to lead and guide our BOH operations including a small crew of exceptional team members. This is a full time role and especially perfect for an early bird!

Job Summary:
Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure food quality, safety, and efficient service. Leads kitchen staff, manages inventory and costs, and enforces sanitation and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff; train, coach, and evaluate performance.
- Maintain consistent food quality and presentation; assist with menu development and recipe standardization.
- Manage all kitchen operations including baking, prep and on demand orders.
- Monitor inventory, order supplies, and control food, labor, and operating costs.
- Enforce HACCP/food safety standards and maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and resolve customer or operational issues.
- Maintain equipment and arrange repairs as needed; ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare reports on sales, waste, and inventory; implement process improvements.

Qualifications:
- 3+ years kitchen experience with 1+ years supervisory experience (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen operations. NYC DOH certified mandatory.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Culinary certificate or degree preferred but not required.
