Join a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing empathetic, patient-focused care. We are looking for a talented Speech Therapist to join the rehab team in an outpatient setting, aiding patients in achieving optimal communication and swallowing abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients and develop customized treatment plans based on doctor's orders.
- Deliver therapy to both pediatric and adult patients in an outpatient environment.
- Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams for streamlined patient care.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and techniques.
- Record evaluations, progress notes, and outcomes in line with regulations.
- Engage in departmental projects, training, and ongoing education.
- Contribute to the development of innovative therapy programs.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy program.
- Eligible for licensure and registration in New York State.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or eligibility.
- Preferably one to two years of hospital experience; recent grads welcome.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (needed within 90 days of hire).
