Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for a travel assignment with an ASAP start. This position requires working night shifts.

Shift Details

• Shift: Nights 7 PM - 7 AM
• Days: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Adhere to Universal Precautions standards.
• Understand and comply with policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate dependability and responsibility, including attendance and punctuality.
• Perform venipuncture skillfully.
• Conduct daily quality control and maintenance per established guidelines.
• Complete testing in a timely and concise manner.
• Operate and troubleshoot Chemistry, Urinalysis (UA), Hematology, and Coagulation analyzers.
• Engage in Blood Bank Testing, including type, RH, antibody screening, compatibility testing, and quality control.
• Perform miscellaneous testing such as serological, microscopic, and microbiological testing.
• Maintain courtesy and professional conduct with patients, lab staff, physicians, and other employees.
• Communicate effectively, sharing important information with coworkers and supervisors.
• Ensure overall quality of performance and conduct in the workplace.

Qualifications

• Current ASCP or AMT certification required.
• AHA BLS certification must be obtained prior to the assignment.
• Blood bank experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR is preferred.
• Ability to wear any color scrubs as required.
