This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Supervisor in a specialized compounding pharmacy focused on animal health, located in Bakersfield, CA. The role requires an experienced leader to guide a team of pharmacists producing high-quality compounded medications, ensuring compliance, quality, and continuous improvements in pharmacy operations.
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Position Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday
- 8:15 AM–5:15 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of pharmacists to meet productivity and quality standards
- Oversee daily compounding pharmacy operations and workflow management
- Ensure compliance with USP <795> , <797> , <800> , State Board regulations, and 503A requirements
- Maintain accurate training records and enforce proper compounding procedures
- Assist in drug selection for dispensing and compounded preparations
- Identify opportunities for process and formulation improvements
- Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and other departments to enhance operations
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all company policies and applicable regulations
Qualifications:
- Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Minimum 2 years of management experience in a pharmacy lab setting
- 2–5 years of compounding pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of USP standards, State Board regulations, and 503A requirements
- Proven leadership, strong communication, and mentoring abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base salary ranging from $160,000 to $185,000 plus bonus, depending on experience
- Eligible for additional benefits
