IMCU/Step Down Registered Nurse (RN)

The IMCU/Step Down Registered Nurse provides specialized care for patients recovering from surgical and medical interventions. This role requires expertise in managing cardiac drips, post-cath lab procedural care, and care for patients with tracheostomies and ventilators.

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the IMCU/Step Down unit.

Monitor patient status and effectively respond to changes in condition.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including cardiac drips.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Educate patients and their families on post-procedural care and recovery.

This position requires working night shifts, specifically 3 shifts of 12 hours each week, from 19:00 to 07:00.

Weekends are required, with six shifts expected per schedule period. No block scheduling is available for this position.

The expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4.

Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Demonstrated experience in IMCU or step-down nursing preferred.

Knowledge of cardiac drips and experience in post-cath lab care.

Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.

Licensed nursing personnel are required to wear solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs. Scrub tops may include colored piping. Print tops are not acceptable attire.
