Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Intermediate Care / Progressive Care Unit)

Location

Lubbock, TX | Short Term Acute Care – Level II Trauma Center

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / PCU / Telemetry setting within a short-term acute care facility
• Maintain expected patient ratios of 1:4
• Float between units as needed to support staffing and patient care needs
• Work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period as required
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Complete required facility modules prior to start and during orientation as part of onboarding

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required; Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of PCU, Telemetry, or IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Must be available for 48-hour weeks when operationally needed
• Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at time of submittal — post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (Charge RNs/Leads accepted)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Level II Trauma Center or high-acuity acute care environment
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and progressive care workflows
• Demonstrated flexibility with floating to sister or nearby facilities
