Starting Date: Aug 3, 2026 Job Details Campus Support Location: Palomino Intermediate School Duration: 9 months, Various hours/day Grade: 10, Pay: $15.15/hour Position: Non-Interim Dates: 8/3/2026 - 5/27/2027 Purpose Statement The role provides support to the instructional process, ensuring safety and welfare of students across various support service areas including noon duty coverage, AM/PM duty coverage, classroom assistance, crosswalk coverage, and other areas as needed on campus. Essential Functions Assist students to provide safe access to and from assigned location. Communicate safety and security policies to students, staff, and visitors, ensuring understanding and compliance. Maintain job‑related equipment (stop signs, jackets, sand bags, flags, etc.) for availability of required items. Monitor individuals and groups of students in various settings (classroom, playground, field trips, between periods, library, lunchroom, bus loading/unloading, etc.) to ensure compliance with guidelines and a safe, positive learning environment. Monitor student behavior entering and exiting school grounds to maintain student compliance and safety. Refer incidents (personal injuries, altercations, suspicious activities, rule violations, etc.) to appropriate personnel for follow‑up per administrative, security, and safety guidelines. Report observations and incidents (accidents, fights, inappropriate behavior, rule violations, safety conditions, etc.) to instructional and/or administrative personnel. Respond to inquiries from students and parents regarding campus security issues, providing information, direction, or referral. React to a variety of situations (accidents, injuries, etc.) to take appropriate action to resolve immediate safety and/or security concerns. Support classroom teachers and other school personnel in maintaining a safe, positive learning environment. Other Functions Participate in unit meetings, in‑service training, workshops, etc. to convey and gather required information. Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Adhere to safety practices and enforce rules and regulations. Perform basic math, understand written procedures, write routine documents, speak clearly, and understand complex multi‑step instructions. Schedule activities, collate data, and use basic job‑related equipment. Maintain flexibility to work with others in various circumstances, using defined processes and equipment methods. Work with a diverse group of individuals, handling specific job‑related data and equipment. Demonstrate problem‑solving skills, identifying issues and creating action plans, with moderate equipment‑based problem solving. Display tact, courtesy, attentiveness to detail, and maintain confidentiality. Responsibility Work under direct supervision using standardized routines, provide information and/or advise others, and continuously impact the organization’s services. Work Environment Physical demands include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and fine finger dexterity. Requires approximately 40% sitting, 30% walking, and 30% standing, under temperature extremes and potential exposure to risk of injury or illness. Experience Job-related experience is desired. Education High school diploma or equivalent. Clearances Criminal Background Clearance. Valid Arizona DPS Level I IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
