The role requires strong interpersonal skills, discretion, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic manufacturing setting. The specialist serves as a key liaison between employees and management, promoting a positive workplace culture.**Primary Duties**The Sr. Employee Relations Specialist leads employee relations initiatives and ensures consistent application of company policies and employment laws. This includes conducting investigations, advising on disciplinary actions, and supporting employee engagement efforts.**Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:*** Conduct investigations into employee complaints and policy violations; document findings and recommend resolutions.* Act on lead on employee complaints that include high-level HR investigations involving management-level, multi-party, or legally sensitive cases* Advise managers and employees on performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures.* Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies.* Analyze employee relations trends and recommend proactive solutions.* Collaborate with HR and legal teams to mitigate risk and resolve complex issues.* Develop and deliver training on workplace conduct and employee relations topics.**Job Requirements****Education and Experience Requirements:**Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years progressive HR/ER experience.Preferred:* 5 -7+ years of experience conducting high-level HR investigations involving management-level, multi-party, or legally sensitive cases requiring sound judgment and discretion.* Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field* SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR/SPHR certification**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*** Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices* Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills* Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion* Strong decision quality* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities**Essential Mental and Physical Functions:**This role requires critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The specialist must be able to maintain composure in high-pressure situations and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.**Physical and Mental Requirements:*** Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods* Frequent use of computer and telephone* Occasional lifting of office supplies or packages (up to 25 lbs)* Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail in a busy environment**Work Environment:**The Sr. Employee Relations Specialist works in an office setting located within AAON’s manufacturing facility.
