Responsibilities:

• The Patient Access Associate ensures each registered patient has a complete and accurate OSF medical record, which includes patient demographics, insurance coverage, responsible guarantor and registration precision in a manner which they understand what services they are receiving, their financial responsibilities for the services provided, and expectations of them while at the facility.
• Excellent patient service skills are expected to create an exceptional first impression of OSFâ€TMs services to the patients, families, and other external patients over the phone or in person.
• A high degree of deductive reasoning and logic skills are necessary in order to solve issues that can arise in a complex, multi-payer situation.

Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or GED Experience: One year in an office clerical setting or customer service environment
• Other skills/knowledge: Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications and website navigation Problem solving, conflict management, time management, good oral and written communication skills
• Required to complete all role specific revenue cycle training and certification within 12 months
