Field Service Engineer II (Electron Microscopy) Southwest REMOTE

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Field Service Engineer II to install, maintain, and repair advanced electron microscopy equipment at semiconductor facilities in Texas. The role involves troubleshooting complex electronic and vacuum systems, providing on-site customer support, and regular travel across the Southwest.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair complex electronic, high-voltage, and ultra-high-vacuum systems
- Read electrical schematics to identify and diagnose equipment failures
- Install, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on microscopy instruments
- Provide on-site technical support and build customer relationships
- Document service activities and collaborate with internal technical teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and hands-on experience
- 3+ years troubleshooting and repairing sophisticated electronic equipment
- Strong electrical schematic reading and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with high-voltage and ultra-high-vacuum systems
- Proficiency with Windows and MS-DOS environments
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain passport
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in cleanroom environments
