EHS Specialist II

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks an EHS Specialist II to support industrial hygiene and occupational health programs at a Cincinnati manufacturing and laboratory facility. The role offers early-career professionals the opportunity to conduct exposure assessments, perform monitoring studies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate workplace health risks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct industrial hygiene assessments, exposure monitoring, and noise studies for laboratory and pharmaceutical environments
• Perform ergonomic evaluations and analyze exposure data to communicate findings to stakeholders
• Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action development
• Deliver EHS training, toolbox talks, and implement programs including Respiratory Protection and Hazard Communication
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and quality teams to identify occupational health risks and promote safe practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• 1-3+ years of industrial hygiene, occupational health, or EHS experience
• Manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or laboratory experience preferred
• Foundational knowledge of industrial hygiene principles and occupational exposure assessment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with ability to interpret technical data
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across organizational levels
